Pro-Russian Group Attacked The EU Parliament Website

EU Parliament

The website of EUs Parliament was inaccessible for hours after a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack by “Pro-Kremlin” attackers, as stated by European Parliament President Roberta Metsola.

The attack started hours after MEPs passed a strongly-worded resolution declaring Russia a “state sponsor of terrorism.”

The European Parliament’s chief spokesperson, Jaume Duch, said the outage was due to high levels of external network traffic, related to DDOS attack (Distributed Denial of Service) event.

By 15:30 CET, the website became accessible but by 16:00 CET, it went down again.
